Savannah Day 1

What do you do when two out of three of your kids head off to Mission Trips and Camp? You go back to someplace you've lived before and visit friends. I flew back down to NC to visit my friend Michelle. We could have been content to stay at her place on the lake, but we decided instead to head farther south and visit a few places we'd never seen. I'd never been to Charleston and Michelle had never been to Savannah, so that's exactly where we went.

Savannah Day 1

Paula Deen's Resturant
We didn't eat at Paula's restaurant. We talked about it, but when we found out that you had to get there at 7:30a.m. and form a line that would wrap around the building, wait to see the hostess, get a slip that would tell you what time to return for either lunch or dinner, we thought it was too much work just to eat a fried chicken buffet. I bet it would have been good though!

Savannah has a beautiful waterfront shopping district. We enjoyed strolling along taking photos of everything and everyone. Here are a few quick snaps.

More trip photos to come!
Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like a great place to visit. We will be spending time in Charleston, Savannah, Nashville and Chattanooga the last week of July. You'll have to let me know if there are any "MUST SEE or MUST DO" while we are there.
