Welcome Fall!

I was downtown the other day waiting for a client to arrive for portraits. Across the street from our meeting place was one of my favorite places to visit in Newburgh. I ran over there real quick and snapped a few photos of the beautiful fall displays. Since my kids are getting older, their not really into pumpkin patches anymore. I know, sad, huh! So this may be the closest I get to a pumpkin patch this year. How about you? Are you going to visit a pumpkin patch this year?

Happy Fall!

It's the first day of fall! Things I love about this time of year:
the air gets cooler, I can wear jeans and flip flops, the trees start to change, football, bonfires, pumpkins, apples, pumpkin candles, fall decorations and more.

Here's a picture I love. It's of my dog laying out in the sunshine on a cool fall-like morning last week. The leaves have started to fall and the dew glistens on the grass with the soft morning light.

License to Grill....

{REVOKED!}
Some people enjoy cooking, I'm just not one of them. But grilling, come on, everyone can grill, right? You just put some meat on and stand near and flip. How hard it that? Well, I guess for me it's difficult. I put the burgers on, waited, flipped them once, went in the house to put the french fries in the oven and noticed that the kitchen floor was still a mess from the bonfire/cookout party we'd had the night before. So as any tidy, obsessed with clean mom would do I mopped the kitchen floor, and oh yeah, I answered the phone. It was my hubby telling me what time he'd be home for dinner. As I returned to the grill my attention was immediately caught by the fire leaping out from under it's hood.

I opened the lid to find our dinner in flames. I quickly removed the meat from the grill, took a few shots and doused the flames with a cup of water.
Smoking grill.
Dinner saved. Whew! Actually I had to cook a few a little longer and add the cheese. They were still yummy!

It's Football Time!

It's our favorite time of year...Football Season! Two of our boys play football. Logan plays for the 8th grade Middle School team. He's number 60. Isaiah plays for the youth football league. Of course, since he broke his foot he won't be playing, but sitting on the sidelines rooting on his team! I snapped a few photos of Logan in the game a few weeks ago.
.
Logan on Special Teams, he's the Long Snapper. That's him with the ball.

Logan as a Defensive Tackle. That's him in the middle heading for the QB's blocker #44.
See him in the middle of the screen, under the arrow. This is the shot I got just before Logan sacked the QB.
The after the sack photo. You see both Logan and the QB on the ground.Logan starts as Offensive Right Guard. See him blocking in the center.
Team huddle. And finally, before Isaiah broke his foot I snapped a pic of him in the backyard with his practice uniform on. Isaiah's team plays their first game this Sunday. We're looking forward to it!
