Fifteen Candles

December 26th we celebrated my oldest's birthday. 15 years old. It can't be possible. Can't he stay this little forever?
At Birth
At 2 years old

And today.....

A thingie for the guitar that changes the sounds of the chords.

Money, money, money, mo-ney.....Money!

Playing the guitar he got yesterday for Christmas

Happy Birthday son.
I'm so proud of the person you've become! I love your smile, your laugh and your sense of humor. However, just so you know,
I'm not so sure I'm ready for you to drive.
Can I have more time to think about it?
Love,
Mom

Happy 1st Day of Winter

This is my sweet little neighbor girl. She turned 9 this month and her mom wanted to remember it with pictures. I call this one The Winter Beauty. Her smile can warm up any winter day.

Why Buy Expensive Toys

Christmas is coming and I ask myself, why buy my son expensive store bought toys when he has so much fun with a shoe box and some cardboard wrapping paper tubes!

Sponge Bob on the Brain

So, Isaiah took his weekly spelling test. I had a good chuckle when I looked at it. I'll let the Sponge Bob on the Brain reference speak for itself....
The word was sponge. I guess watching Sponge Bob in the mornings before school may not be such a good thing.

Toby Mac

As an early Christmas present for the boys we took them down to Nashville TN to see Toby Mac's Winter Wonderslam concert. Through Toby Mac's website I got to preorder tickets before they went on sale with Ticketmaster. We had 8th row center seats on the floor. We were treated to an awesome show by Toby as well as Relient K, B Reith and Family Force Five. Of course I have pictures to share. Here you go!

B. Reith - very cool, beat boxing and a bit of hip hop rap. I liked him.

Family Force Five...pretty much an alternative christian metal band. The kids loved them!

The end of the show, all the bands came out and we sang Walkin in a Winter Wonder Slam and it snowed on us!

If you ever get the chance to see Toby Mac in concert.....GO! I've seen him twice. He is very entertaining musically and the light show and dance is outstanding!!! We LOVE you Toby!
Thanks for another great concert.

Logan's Choice

After church on Sunday all 5 of us went to the grocery store. I was trying to plan dinners for the week, so I asked the kids what they would like. Logan chimed in "How about grilled chicken on salad?" Mmmmmm, one of my favorites. So tonight was Logan's night. Look how yummy!

Ok, I should have checked to see if we had enough salad dressing before making dinner. Whew, just enough for all of us.

Mmmmmmm, Yummy!
Thumbs up from Logan
It was a hit!
