The Good vs The Bad part of moving around

As you all know we move around alot. No, we didn't get the call to move again. But I was just thinking of all the friends I've met along the way. Some of you I talk to almost daily, some weekly and some monthly. No matter how often, I hope you know I think of you often. I am so grateful for you all. You've all enriched my life. So I would like to dedicate this post to my friends. I miss you!

This is my dearest friend Kari and I forgot to put her on my list :( . I always tell her I'm her slackard friend because I don't call enough and I often tell her happy birthday the day after her birthday. See I'm still a slackard! We started as neighbors over 10 years ago. She moved to MD, I moved to OH. She moved to IN, I moved to NC. Then I moved back IN. We're still hours apart, we're raising busy families, but we still make time to stay in touch; usually while we'rerunning errands . So, friend, please forgive me for leaving you out and know that I do miss you very much!

My Friend Duchess from North Carolina (now South Carolina because our husbands work together and they did just get moved..again). Miss you bunches!

My friend Michelle from North Carolina. We both love photography and scrapbooking and we've got so much stuff in common it's just plain crazy!

My friend Jodi from Ohio who visits me every year no matter how far away I move from her.

My friend Heidi from Ohio. She and the kids came to see me in July. She works very hard as a Vice Principal and a mom. I'm so proud of you!

My scrapbook friend: we met online, but we now live close enough to get together whenever we want. We need to start our monthly scrapbook thing again.

Another online scrapbook friend that I have the privledge to know in person. This is Kim. She lives between me and my parents house. I get to see her sometimes when I go to Indy. I text her when I drive by her house.

Yet another scrapbook friend. This is Jeanne. She makes me take her picture every time I see her so she has a new avi for the scrapbook forum. Love ya Jeanne!

And this is Katie. Katie is a scrapbook friend too. She loves cupcakes and makes me laugh. She is a challange to photograph, because she always makes goofy faces at my camera. I'm blessed to know you Katie!

This is a self portrait of me and my friend Kim in Florida. Kim and I met in Ohio when our boys played football together. Now she lives in Florida and I get to visit her when I go on business trips with my hubby.

There are more, but I don't have pictures. Like Lori in Indy, Amy in California, Christy in Missouri, Jill and Jay in Indy, Lisa and Greg and Sonja and Gregg in Ohio, Dottie, Kevin and Jodi and Michael in NC, oh, I'm sure I'm leaving someone out. Just know I miss you all and Thanks everyone, for being my friend!

Are You Ready for Some Football!

Logan had his first two games on Saturday. Actually they were really a scrimmages against a team from Owensboro Kentucky and Caldwell County Kentucky. Logan is #60 in the white jersey. He plays Left tackle on the first string Offensive Line for the Junior High School football team. They won their first game and lost the second. It was a hot, hot day somewhere in the mid 90's. The boys hung in there and did a great job!

Playing Dirty...

Isaiah's just about ready to start the football season. He's been participating in conditioning practices right now. I took my little p&s camera along and took some pics for the football league website. I'll share a few fav's with you.

There was a dirt patch on the field and during the game the boys kicked up a whole lot of dirt. I thought it made a great picture.
That's Isaiah in the white shirt.

Homework in a Hammock

Isaiah came home with homework and asked if he and his friend could do it outside. I said sure because it was such a nice day. I looked out and they were fast at work in the hammock. Of course I had to snap some pictures!

Back 2 School Day

Well, my kids grumbled and moaned. It's not fair they said, summer should not be over so soon. But it is...It's Back to School Day again here in Southern Indiana.
Evan is off to his first day of High School. It's Logan's first day of Jr. High (7th grade) and Isaiah returns to the elementary for 4th grade.

I had to take these pictures on the back deck, because Heaven forbid some passerby might see their mom taking their picture on the first day of school!
Ahhh, that's more like it. A photo out front. Isaiah is not too cool for a first day pic!

At the bus stop. He said, mom, take my picture now before all the kids get here. So, I guess he does care.
The bus is here!

Just a shot of some of the paper and folders I bought this year.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fishing, Family, Flowers and Football

We spent the weekend in Indy with my family. Visited Indiana Beach, did some fishing and got to see my sweet neices and nephew and an old friend about to have a baby any day. Anyway, we are back home now, getting into the grove of football (this week) and back to school (next week). Here are some random shots from the weekend, etc.
