An uneventful week

Things here are a bit slow this week. No new news or events to share today, so in my boredom I've taken to photograhing flowers again.

Here's a little lily that just popped open.

And quickly, here's a little recent pic of the babies. They're growing!

Remember the eggs?

Evan came in to my room bright and early this morning and told me that the baby birds on his window sill were hatching. Here are a few pictures. I have a video clip too, but I can't figure out how to save it as a blogger recognizable file. I'll keep trying, it's cute!

Graduation Day

Two of my kiddos are graduating this year. My Evan is graduating from Jr High and will be a big High Schooler next year. (no pictures, sorry. Not that I don't want to have pictures, mind you, because I do, but I will be working the rock climbing wall at the elementary school when they call my son's name and he stands up from his seat in the gym, then sits back down)
And my Logan graduated today from Elementary School (6th grade) and will be a Jr High Schooler next year.

Here's Logan's big day!

Things You Learn Mowing the Lawn

Want to know a secret? I LOVE to mow my lawn. Crazy, I know, but I love yard work and look forward to spring when it seems to be never ending. With all the rain we've been getting this April and May I have to mow at least once and sometimes twice a week. Saturday morning I rode around on my mower and took in all the wonderful signs of spring. Below are a few things I learned:

Ugly Mushrooms grown at the base of my 200 year old tree

The Rhodies are in bloom!

When my mower approaches the Alberta Spruces near the front door the mama bird flys away and I can peek in at the new babies hungry for food.

"Guess she's got no food, so I'll just lay back down on my brother's head."

A few of my roses are open and are beautiful

A few more are just budding outThe Robin in my son's bedroom window is going to be a mama
I love the color of Robin's Eggs

Cousin Logan gives Autumn her bottle. (He loves to take care of the little ones)

My brother picked these out for her, aren't they sweet!
